Welcome to my sad corner of the internet. I’ll assume that you’re here by mistake, so let me skip the pleasantries and get right to it. Ahem. This blog is essentially about games. Video games. The ones you play on a gaming system (or a PC). The reason I’m doing this is because I’m a uni student right now, studying journalism (finished this, now doing teaching). I’m just doing this because it’s been recommended that I partake in some sort of writing on a semi-regular basis. Which is, you know, a good idea. That’s fine for me. I actually enjoy writing. I was that guy from your school who actually enjoyed English (I know, I’d hate me too). I don’t know if this blog will be something that I actually keep up with. I might just post a few times and give up because that’s the kind of lazy shit that I am. Luckily for anyone who has suffered any recent head injuries and actually wants to read my works however, if I find out that someone has read a a post on this website from me, I will make an effort to keep the blog going. I’m that kind of guy. I actually keep going if I see that someone is keeping up with it. I don’t want to do this if no one is reading it though.
A few things before I finish. I’m a big believer in the use of proper grammer and spelling, but I hate to proofread things and I have a habit of just sort of rushing whilst writing, leaving the results as a sometimes confusing and occasionally illegible mess. I suppose I should also just say again that this blog will be almost entirely about video games. When I say that, I don’t mean talking about the industry or the gaming news, because you can go anywhere for that. What you likely won’t find anywhere else outside of the scribblings on the cell walls of my room in an asylum for the mentally unstable, is my weirdly specific and pedantic ramblings about the games that I have played. A lot of them will read like reviews but I won’t be giving numbered scores for games or anything. Probably.
There may be the brief occasion on which I will talk about something other than video games, like a TV series that I really like or some other, completely unrelated to video games topic that I feel like making the internet suffer through hearing me talk about.
That’s about it really. Welcome to my blog. Yay.
P.S. I think it’s important for me to point out at the moment that this intro was only going to be a few lines, a paragraph at worst but has ended up being a fair bit longer. Get used to it because I really, really have a problem with rambling. Enjoy.
